SECTION 1: [ESTABLISHMENT OF STELLAR TEMPLES]

A subordinate Stellar Temple shall consist of Associate Members, duly initiated Active Members and Honorary Members, operating with favorable endorsement of the General Synod and/or a State See Curia of the Society of The Astral Star. Stellar Temples are named after stars in the heaven, and have at least one member of ordained clergy in their company.

SECTION 2: [ESTABLISHMENT OF COLONIAL LODGES]

A subordinate Colonial Lodge shall consist of Associate Members, Active Members and Honorary Members, operating wth favorable endorsement of the General Synod and/or a State See Curia of the Society Of The Astral Star however no member of ordained clergy are present in their company.

SECTION 3: [DEFINITION OF THE COUNCIL]

The Council of a subordinate Stellar Temple or Colonial Lodge of the Society Of The Astral Star shall serve as the Officers of a local chapter of the General Order. The duties, powers, descriptions, and requirements of all officers shall consist of the following paragraphs:

PARAGRAPH 1: [FIRST POINT - HIEROPHANT / HIEROPHANTRIA]

The First Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star shall constitute the Ruler of The Temple. The First Point shall also be known as the Hierophant (Hierophantria), (the High Priest or High Priestess), over-seeing the major business of the Temple, hearing and acting upon the reports of the other members of the Council. In Stellar Temples, this position is an elected position, elected by majority vote of the Membership of the Stellar Temple. Requirements for an individual to hold this very honored position is as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon who has the higher initiated degree of not less than Adeptus Minor (6=5) and an ordination of Clerical status of not less than Priest. One term shall be equal to a period of two years, with the right to succeed themselves indefinitely. The robes of the Hierophant (Hierophantria) shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a Purple Tabard with the Symbol of Spirit shall be worn with a Red Mantle, trimmed in White. The symbol of office shall be a red wand with a Crown and white globe. The proper honorific title for the Hierophant or any past Hierophant shall be Very Honored Frater (VHFr.) and Very Honored Soror, (VHSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The Reverend Father / The Reverend Mother.

PARAGRAPH 2: [SECOND POINT - HIEREUS/ HIEREIA]

The Second Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star shall serve as second in command of the of The Temple. He/She shall preside over meetings of the Council and/or Stellar Temple / Colonial Lodge whenever the Hierophant / Hierophantria shall be unable. The Hiereus / Hiereia's duty is to act as the Priest of the Temple. In Stellar Temples, this position is an elected position, elected by majority vote of the Membership of the Stellar Temple. Requirements for an individual to hold this very honored position is as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon who has the higher initiated degree of not less than Portal Adeptus (5=6+) and an ordination of Clerical status of not less than Priest. One term shall be equal to a period of two years, with the right to succeed themselves indefinitely. The robes of the Hiereus / Hiereia shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a Black Tabard with the Symbol of The Black Pillar shall be worn with a Black Mantle, trimmed in White. The proper honorific title for the Hiereus/Hiereia or any past Hiereus/Hieria shall be Very Honored Frater (VHFr.) and Very Honored Soror, (VHSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/Father/Mother.

PARAGRAPH 3: [THIRD POINT - HEGEMON / HEGEMONE]

The Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star shall serve as third in command of the Temple. He/She shall preside over meetings of the Council and/or the Stellar Temple / Colonial Lodge whenever the Hierophant and the Hiereus shall be unable. The Hegemon shall be regarded as the Senior Deacon / Deaconess, and supervises all administrative functions of the Temple / Lodge. Requirements for an individual to hold this very honored position is as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon who has the higher initiated degree of not less than a Portal Adeptus (5=6+) and an ordination of clerical status of not less than Deacon / Deaconess. This position shall be elected by majority vote of the Stellar Temple. One term shall be equal to a period of two years, with the right to succeed themselves indefinitely. The robes of the Hegemon shall be shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a White Tabard with the Symbol of The White Pillar shall be worn with a White Mantle, trimmed in Black. The proper honorific title for the Hegemon or any past Hegemon shall be Very Honored Frater (VHFr.) and Very Honored Soror, (VHSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/Worthy Brother / Worthy Sister.

PARAGRAPH 4: [FOURTH POINT - KERUX / KERUKAINS]

The Fourth Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star serves in the capacity of General Secretary/Treasurer for the Temple/Lodge, responsible for preparing and reading of minutes of sessions of the Council. He/She is also responsible for notifying all members of the Council of the exact time, place, and itinerary of all sessions of that body; and preparing and maintaining routine correspondence from the membership of the Stellar Temple/Colonial Lodge and from all persons and organizations outside of the Order's pale. Requirements for an individual to hold this honored position is as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon (0=11). This position shall be appointed by The Hierophant, and ratified by a majority vote of the Temple. One term shall be equal to a period of one year, with the appointment to commence/terminate on The Vernal Equinox. A member may succeed themselves indefinitely, by proper appointment. The robes of the Kerux shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a Green Tabard with the Symbol of Elemental Earth shall be worn with a Green Mantle, trimmed in Black, Russet Red, Olive Green, and Citrine Yellow. The symbol of office shall be a pentacle, the weapon of elemental earth. The proper honorific title for the Hegemon or any past Kerux shall be Honored Frater (HFr.) and Honored Soror, (HSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/Brother Warden/ Sister Warden.

PARAGRAPH 5: [FIFTH POINT - STOLISTES / STOLISTRA]

The Fifth Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star serves in the capacity of Treasurer for the Temple / Lodge, responsible for receiving dues and paying the Templešs lawful debts. Requirements for an individual to hold this honored position is as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon (0=11). This position shall be appointed by The Hierophant, and ratified by a majority vote of the Temple. One term shall be equal to a period of one year, with the appointment to commence/terminate on The Vernal Equinox. A member may succeed themselves indefinitely, by proper appointment. The robes of the Kerux shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a Blue Tabard with the Symbol of Elemental Water shall be worn with a Blue Mantle, trimmed in Orange. The symbol of office shall be a chalice, the weapon of elemental water. The proper honorific title for the Stolistes or any past Stolistes shall be Honored Frater (HFr.) and Honored Soror, (HSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/Brother Warden/ Sister Warden.

PARAGRAPH 6: [SIXTH POINT - DADOUCHOS / DADOUCHE]

The Sixth Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star serves in the capacity of Warden for the Temple. Requirements for an individual to hold this honored position is as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon (0=11). This position shall be appointed by The Hierophant, and ratified by a majority vote of the Temple. One term shall be equal to a period of one year, with the appointment to commence/terminate on The Vernal Equinox. A member may succeed themselves indefinitely, by proper appointment. The robes of the Dadouchos shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a Red Tabard with the Symbol of Elemental Fire shall be worn with a Red Mantle, trimmed in Green. The symbol of office shall be a Wand, the weapon of elemental Fire. The proper honorific title for the Stolistes or any past Dadouchos shall be Honored Frater (HFr.) and Honored Soror, (HSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/Brother Warden / Sister Warden.

PARAGRAPH 7: [SEVENTH POINT - PRESBYTER]

The Seventh Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star serves in the capacity of Advisor to the Temple. The Presbyter is an elder responsible for advising on all matters pertaining to rituals, rites, and all other matters of daily living with emphasis upon the procedures for operation and training in the ways of our faith, mysticism, and practical and theoretical magick. Requirements for an individual to hold this very honored position is as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon who has the higher initiated degree of not less than Portal Adeptus (5=6+) and have an ordination of Clerical status of not less than Priest/Priestess, preferably being ordained a Presbyter; or an honorarily appointed Member who is holds the title of Presbyter (Elder) from another religious faith, tradition, or school of magick or mysticism. This position shall be appointed by the State Arch Bishop / Primate, or by the Chief Adept (President) of the General Order, and ratified by a majority vote of the Temple. There shall not be a term limit on this officer. The robes of the Presbyter shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a Yellow Tabard with the Symbol of Elemental Earth shall be worn with a Green Mantle, trimmed in Golden Yellow. The symbol of office shall be a Pentacle, the weapon of elemental Earth. The proper honorific title for the Presbyter or any past Presbyter shall be Venerable Frater (VFr.) and Venerable Soror, (VSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/Venerable Brother / Venerable Sister.

PARAGRAPH 8: [EIGHTH POINT - SENTINEL]

The Eighth Point of a Stellar or Colonial Temple of the Society Of The Astral Star serves in the capacities of Sgt. At Arms. He/she is responsible for maintaining order in the hall and to provide physical security for the rituals. Requirements for an individual to hold this honored position are as follows: the position must be filled by a knighted Adelphon (0=11). This position shall be appointed by The Hierophant, and ratified by a majority vote of the Temple. One term shall be equal to a period of one year, with the appointment to commence/terminate on The Vernal Equinox. A member may succeed themselves indefinitely, by proper appointment. The robes of the Dadouchos shall be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however a Black Tabard with the Symbol of the ever watchful eye shall be worn with a Black Mantle, trimmed in Green. The symbol of office shall be a Sword, the weapon of Geburah. The proper honorific title for the Stolistes or any past Dadouchos shall be Honored Frater (WFr.) and Honored Soror, (WSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/Worthy Brother / Sister.

PARAGRAPH 9: [PAST HIEROPHANT / PAST HIEROPHANTRIA]

Past Hierophants/Hierophantria of a Stellar Temple or Colonial Lodge of the Society Of The Astral Star serves in the capacity of General Council for the Temple / Lodge, offering guidance and counsel concerning all matters to the current sitting Hierophant/Hierophantria. As ranking Adepti of the Temple/Lodge, it is standard practice for one of them to stand as Warden and to read in the East. The term of Past Hierophant is for life, resignation, or retirement. The robes of a past Hierophant/Hierophantria be the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however when standing as Warden of the East, they will wear a Yellow Tabard with the Symbol of Elemental Air shall be worn with a Yellow Mantle, trimmed in Mauve. The symbol of office shall be a dagger, the weapon of elemental air. When not standing as Warden of The East, their station remains to the East, and their robes are thos of teh the traditional White Robe with Purple trim of Regular Membership, however they may wear an orange tabard and mantle.The proper honorific title for a past Hierophant/Hierophantria shall be Very Honored Frater (VHFr.) and Very Honored Soror, (VHSr.); In writing and in addressing verbally, The/ Reverend Father / Reverend Sister.

SECTION 4: [POWERS AND DUTIES]

The Council shall have the following powers and duties by constitutional law:

1) Effecting it's own organization;
2) Enacting and enforcing laws and rules governing the itself and all Adelphi affiliated therewith. Legislation enacted by a Council shall be in force thirty (30) days after passage unless otherwise provided;
3) Placing on probation, suspension, or expulsion any Adelphi affiliate therewith within due process of law;
4) Penalizing any officer of its Council, any Adept, Presbyter, or Adelphon in such a manner as is deemed proper and within the laws of the land and of The Society;
5) Performing regular religious ceremonies and rituals of worship;
6) Conducting training in accordance with the General Orderšs course of instruction;
7) With approval, perform initiation ceremonies for candidates for advancement into the various degrees of knowledge;
8) Conducting seasonal rituals and rites;
9) Performing sacramental rites and rituals for itšs membership; 10) All other powers necessary for the proper carrying out of the duties and privileges herein provided for.

SECTION 5: [FREQUENCY OF SESSIONS]

The Temples, Lodges, and their Council shall meet monthly.

SECTION 6: [TIME AND PLACE OF SESSIONS]

The exact time and location of regular sessions of the Temples, Lodges, and their Councils shall be determined at the previous session of that body.

SECTION 7: [NOTICE OF SESSIONS]

All members of the a Colonial Lodge, a Stellar Temple or a Council of one of those bodies, and any other Adelphon requested to attend shall be advised of the details of the session in the following manner from The Kerux by phone, letter, or other standard method.

SECTION 8: [NOTICE OF MEMBERS ABSENCE REPORT]

Should a member of a Temple, Lodge, or its Council be unable to attend a regular session, he/she shall advise the Temple Kerux that he/she shall be unable to attend, and the reason for his/her unavailability as soon as possible.

SECTION 9: [POSTPONEMENT OF SESSIONS]

A regular session of the Temple, Lodge, or its Council may be deferred by the Hierophant only for the legitimate reason of receiving a report from the Kerux stating that at least two-thirds of the members of the Council have sent in Unable to Attend RSVP's. The Hierophant shall make arrangements with all members to reschedule this session. Rescheduled session dates, times, locations, and itinerary shall be revised and issued from the Office of The Hierophant, via phone, to all members concerned.

SECTION 10: [ORDER IN SESSION]

Whenever a Temple. Lodge, or its Council is in session, proper parliamentary procedure shall be adhered to, as stated in Article XII of this Constitution.

SECTION 11: [ORDER OF SUCCESSION]

In the event that a member of the Temple or Lodge shall be unable to fulfill their term in office, due to serious illness, death, resignation, or other just and legitimate reason, then the Temple shall elect a qualified Adelphon to fill the vacancy. The Primate of the State See Curia must be informed as soon as possible. In the event that the officer is the Hierophant, Hiereus, or Hegemon, then the Arch Bishop or Bishop overseeing said Temple / Lodge may appoint an Adelphon to act as that subordinate organization's officer.

SECTION 12: [OFFICER ELECTIONS]

Election into the Council shall be held by the subordinate Temple / Lodge on All Hallow's Eve (October 31st) of every even year.

SECTION 13: [OFFICER TERMS IN OFFICE]

It shall be established that the term of office for Hierophants, Hiereus, and Hegemon shall be for two year terms. All other appointed offices shall be for one year terms, except for Presbyters whose terms last until the Presbyter resigns or removed by higher authority.

SECTION 14: [OFFICER INDUCTION]

The ceremony for Officer Induction shall be on the Vernal (Spring) Equinox following the All Hallow's of their election by the Stellar Temple / Colonial Lodge. For members who are fulfilling the position temporarily due to serious illness, death, or resignation, then the Induction shall be held the first Sunday of the next month of their appointment, during a special Order Mass.
