The Society of The Astral Star was established on All Saint's Day, the first day of November, 1980, by the founding Cardinal Adepti on the family estate of Shinobi Asteros in Georgetown, Scott County, Kentucky. The first constitution was drafted and ratified exactly on year later by the Council of The Fellowship of The Astral Star of Augurs, which was later renamed Stellar Temple Polaris, after the Star in the heavens referred to as The Tail of the Little Bear - "The Pole Star", located at 28 degrees 15 minutes of Gemini (alpha Ursae Minoris).

The Society of The Astral Star shall be defined as follows:

1) A suigenerous interdenominational religious society composed primarily of catholic, orthodox, protestant, trinitarian and gnostic Christians and other honorarily made members; all dedicated to the worship and service of the Eternal Divine Being, called God by the outside world, in the form of regular religious ceremonies and other spiritual work in the mundane world;

2) A fraternal order dedicated to the instruction of its members in practical magick as a means of personal mysticism. This instruction is accomplished by advancing through a series of degrees of knowledge and development of spiritual skills, intended to advance the human potential via experiences of spiritual reality - in truth.

1) The Order Of The Astral Star sets as it's supreme goals: to explore human potential; to study the occult arts and sciences; and to practice high ceremonial magick as a practical means of esoteric Christian Mysticism, being grounded in the Kabbalah and Enochiana, and other systems within the Western Mystery Traditions, applied to the lives of itıs members, used for benefit of humanity and the created order, to the greater glory and service of God.

2) We further aim to develop in our own member Adelphi the highest standards and acts of honor including those characteristics of Hope, Faith, Love, Truth, Justice, Loyalty, Unselfishness, Humility, Heroism, and Compassion.

Let it be known and established that this Order is founded upon the general ideals, beliefs, and spiritual teachings of the mystical Christian faith.

Realizing that God has called us from many and varied religious backgrounds, we recognize the possibility of disagreements or differences. Often these differences enrich the lives of our members and the General Order as a whole, but sometimes they divide. We consider it to be our responsibility to demonstrate within the General Order the unity and togetherness created by God who made us one.

For this reason, as a basic tenant of Christian acceptance, we embrace the outer motto of the Moravian Church as stated: "In essentials, unity; in nonessentials, liberty; and in all things, love."

We define a Christian as any person who:

1) Believes that Jesus Christ was born;
2) that Christ was and is the living son of the Divine;
3) that Christ suffered under the Roman Governor Pontias Pilate;
4) that Christ died for our sins and for the redemption of the created order on the cross;
5) that Christ was buried in a tomb;
6) that Christ descended to hell;
7) that Christ defeated death by His own resurrection;
8) that whoever believes in Jesus Christ as Messiah shall not perish but have everlasting life;
9) lives their lives in such a manner as to demonstrate these beliefs;
10) professes personal acceptance of a similar creed of belief, including the Apostles' and/or Nicene Creeds of the Roman Catholic Church, or The Combined Christian Creed.

The Combined Christian Creed - Adopted by The Society of The Astral Star from the Nicean and the Apostles Creeds of the Roman Catholic and the Eastern Orthodox Churches.

I (We) Believe....
In One God/dess, the Supreme Divine and Holy Being,
The Almighty One,
Maker of heaven and of earth;
And of all things both visible and invisible;
And in one Lord, Yeheshua - The Christ,
the begotten Son of The Holy One.

Begotten of the Almighty One before all worlds,
Divine of Divine, Being of Being, Very Light of Very Light,
Begotten, not made;
Being of one substance with the Almighty One,
by whom All things were and are made manifest,
Who for the salvation of mortal souls,
and for the redemption of the created order,
He came down from heaven;

And was conceived and incarnate by the Holy Spirit,
was born of the Virgin Mary;
was made mortal flesh - a man;
Suffered under the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate;
Was crucified, died on he cross, and was buried;
in fullfillment of Judean Scriptures.

He decended into Sheol;
the third day he rose again to life from the dead;
He ascended into heaven;
And sitith on the right hand of the Almighty One;
From thence he shall come again to judge
both the quick and the dead.

I (We) believe...
In the Holy Spirit; The Lord and Lady, and Giver of Life;
Who Proceedeth from the Almighty One;
Who is worshiped and Glorified;
Who spake through the Prophets of the Ages;
And revealed to - and through - Us Today;

I (We) believe...
In one Holy and Apostolic Universal Church
- Being Catholic, Orthodox, Protestant, Gnostic, Hermetic, and Divers Others;
In one Baptism as a public pronouncment of faith;
In the Forgiveness of mortal sins;
In the Communion of Saints;

In the Birth and Rebirth of Souls, and
In the final Resurrection of the Dead;
And of Life everlasting in the World to come;
Whose Kingdom shall have no end.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that the Supreme Divine Being, called God by common souls in our Judean/Christian culture, is in fact One entity. There are no other divine beings in our universe which exists. We feel that the members of the Islamic Faith are correct in their premise that "There is no God [Divine Being] but Allah [the Divine Being]." In short, we claim to be true Monotheists, believers in One [God] Supreme Being.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that the Supreme Divine Being, called God by common souls in our Judean/Christian culture, is One entity, which manifests Itself in different forms to different cultures, in a manner in which moral beings of our earth may understand it. In the Western Mystery Tradition, this form is commonly recoginzed in three persons, God the father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (being a Trinity).

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do perceive The Supreme Divine Being to be like a flawless diamond gemstone, having many facets. Peoples of differing world cultures adhering to divergent religious faiths, beliefs, and practices in their own imperfection(s) perceive but a facet or two of the whole stone. The Almighty is greater than the sum of Itıs perceived faceted parts.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of the Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that the principles of the Qabalah (Kabbalah/Cabala/Etc.) are an accurate model of reality. Interpretations vary.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that the Supreme Divine Being, called God by common souls in our Western Judean/Christian/Islamic culture, is in fact Male and Female, and yet neither Male nor Female. The sexuality of the Divine Being is a mystery.

It is proper to call to the Divine Being as "Our Father who art in Heaven." However, it would not necessarily be improper to call the Divine Being as "Our Mother who art of the Earth." This doctrine is a modification of the universal "life principle" embraced by several traditions and schools of mysticism. The Divine had a pattern and a reason for both of the sexes. Both are necessary. Neither may survive without the other, for to so attempt would yield a "dead" universe.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that persons, Human Beings, do not have a "thing" called a Soul that is possibly eternal or "salvageable." Rather, it is true and more properly stated that persons, Human Beings, (and possibly other of the Divine's creatures), are souls, that are eternal in nature and/or are potentially "salvageable."

The Society Of The Astral Star Of considers Souls (Persons) to be equivalent regardless of race, sexual gender, sexual orientation, spiritual creed, religious practice, political affiliation, national origin, and/or physical limitation/disability.

We do not believe that all Souls (Persons) are created equal, for to so state would be to imply that all Souls are the same. For this reason the term equivalent is used. In our perceptions, Souls are unique, however have the same worth - i.e. are priceless.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, believes that discrimination of an individual Soul because of a Human Equivalency factor is morally and ethically wrong, and shall not be tolorated.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that all souls have certain varying properties, passed on to other souls in reproduction. Study of .such properties is called Ethereal Genetics. Among properties or genetical traits are the alignment of the soul, the sexuality of the soul, and other examples taught by the Order. In short, genetics are inherently ethereal, not merely physical.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that all world faiths have some inherent truth(s) in and of themselves in terms of the nature of The Divine Being, and reality. No one world religion has claim to all spiritual truth and perfect knowledge.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that thoughts and their forms have formal reality in and of themselves. That is to state that thought is as real as tables, chairs, desks, bricks, mortar, and any other "thing" one can reach out and physically touch. Thought is made manifest in the world by control of/and the expression of emotions.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Society of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that the Judean/Christian Bible is inspired by the Divine Being, (God). However, it is to be noted that throughout our history, the Divine has worked through mankind and the created order. For this reason, we must acknowledge that this scripture is not inerrant, or with out flaw. The error comes not from the Divine, but rather from man who misunderstands Divine intentions. For this reason The Society Of The Astral Star claims the Judean/Christian Bible as the primary of our Cannon.

The New Oxford Annotated Bible with the Apocrypha Revised Standard Version (RSV), serves as the official version of the Bible for the General Order and itıs members.

In regards to scripture, we further believe that the sacred scriptures of other religious faith's are likewise inspired by the Divine, with the same conditions of errancy. The Koran, The Dhammapada, the Upanishads, and the writing of other religious faiths are respected and are regarded as sacred, however they remain secondary to our own spiritual faith and practices.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Order of The Astral Star, do acknowledge and accept as spiritually valid the following liturgical sacraments of our faith:

1) Christening, (of infants and children), (sprinkling of water on the head) as a dedication of their lives to the knowledge of and service to God by their parents or legal guardian(s);
2) Baptism, (of an adult / age of consent - 13 years of age), (full immersion in water), as an outer public profession of their inner spiritual faith in the acceptance of Yeheshua (Jesus) as the Christ;
3) Communion, (the Lord's supper), (with unleavened bread and wine), in remembrance of the promises of our Lord Christ Jesus and as a memorial of his sacrificial death and victorious resurrection of the soul in mind, body, and spirit;
4) Bar/Bat Mitzvah, (coming of age - at 13 years of age), for a male/female child into adulthood;
5) Matrimony; (marriage), between a consenting adult male and a consenting adult female;
6) Confession; of a believer's sins to an ordained confessor or to the Almighty One (Divine Being);
7) Holy Orders; (ordination), of an adult male or female as a member of clergy to include deacon/deaconess, priest/priestess, presbyter (elder), high priest/high priestess, vicar, bishop, arch bishop, and cardinal;
8) Unction; (last rite), consecration of any person of our faith at the time of their death;
9) Requiem (funeral); the form of burial and/or memorial of any person of our faith after their death;
10) Other lawful liturgical and ritual ceremonies as prescribed by common law or cannon acknowledged by the Society of the Astral Star.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of the Order of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that a human being, a soul, is a soul "before conception." Through emotion during intercourse between man and woman, a soul is made manifest into reality, be it through a conscious or subconscious effort. Thought is made manifest into reality, the power of creation is exalted. This doctrine is the Order's response to the great debate of where life begins, after birth or at conception. We believe that both views are incorrect. Life begins before conception.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of the Order of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that all life is sacred. For this reason, we do not support the abortion of a fetal soul in principle as a means of birth control. We perceive the necessity for such medical procedures, to include saving the life of the mother, or in other justified medical reasons.

As an Order, we are not Pro Abortion, however remain Pro Choice in practice, and commit ourselves to the education of all souls, man, woman, child born, unborn, and yet to be conceived to always have care to do the right thing(s) for the right reason(s).

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti of The Order of The Astral Star, do express it to be our opinion and our belief that the law of karma is valid. All thoughts and actions of all souls are measured. As a result, in the infinate wisdom of the Divine Being and for It's own purposes, it is a possibility that a soul may be reincarnated after death into another mortal life. The purposes of possible multiple lives could include education, training, and/or service. We further believe that it is possible that not all souls are reincarnated.

An unbinding collection of moral and ethical codes shall be assembled for all Adelphi in the Order. These codes are offered to exemplify how a member should strive to conduct him/her self, that we may all live richer lives in gratitude to the Divine.

We, the founding Cardinal Adepti claim by right of our faith, that we strive to serve the Will of God through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We know that such power is God given and is not in itself evil, as prescribed by the Apostle Paul in the first epistle to the Corinthians in the Christian Bible, whereas it states in the Revised Standard Version:

"Whereas I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed, and no man say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administration, but it is the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. but the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given the Spirit of Wisdom, to another, the word of Knowledge by the same Spirit. To another, Faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of Healing by the same spirit. To another, the workings of Miracles; to another Prophesy; to another the discerning of Spirits, to another the divers of Tongues; to another, the Interpretation of Tongues. But all these worketh that one and self same Spirit, as members of that one body being many are one body, so also Christ."

Let us endeavor to -Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there is in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truths quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant, for they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself to others you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interest in your own career, however humble; it is for the world of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind 'you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass. Take kindly the council of the years; gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in times of sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself of imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline be gentle with yourself. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors an aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Let us ask that the Divine, Lord: Make instruments of peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. We would further ask that the Divine, Master: Grant us that we may not so much seek to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

It is to be noted that the main symbol for our Order is an eight rayed star called an "astral star." This star is said to symbolize hope, insight, inspiration, good health, gifts of the Spirit, unselfish aid given and received, and great love according to masters of the Tarot. According to one of the Christian traditions, it was an eight rayed star that led a group of wise men (Magi, or Mages), from the East to pay tribute to the new born Messiah, the King of the Jews. It is the Order's goal to serve in a manner as did that original Star, as a beacon, gently guiding humanity with hope, insight, and inspiration.

The term "Augur" is Latin, which comes from ancient Rome. An Augur was a high ranking priest who foretold the future events and gave advise on the course of public business by interpreting such signs and omens as the flight of birds or thunder and lightning. At anyone given time these Augurs numbered as many as sixteen, and included several converted druids of Gaul and Britain. Augurs were of the noble class and wore white garments trimmed in purple.

The Society Of The Astral Star's official motto shall be, "All knowledge comes by faith, all understanding comes by experience."

The Society Of The Astral Star shall establish a crest and coat of arms to represent the Order. A purple shield, with a silver octagram (astral star) emblazoned with symbols of astrology, numerology, alchemy, color, etc.; surmounted by a golden Crux Mystica (cross of mystery) of our esoteric Christian Faith. The shield is crowned by the pillars of Solomon, and the Gemstone of The Divine, beneath an Episcopal and majestic Crown. Branches of a Palm tree and of an Olive tree shall stem from the Divine Gem, with a sword and crosier to support the shield.

The Society Of The Astral Star shall establish a series of flags and banners to represent the General Order and it's officers.

The Society Of The Astral Star's official flowers shall be 1) the orchid and 2) the rose, colored according to season: Red for summer, Yellow Autumn and for Spring, and White for winter.

The Society Of The Astral Star's official gemstones shall be 1) the White Diamond; suplemented by 2) the Royal Purple Amethyst; 3) the Imperial Yellow Topaz; 4) White Pearls for female members; and 5) the single stone Amitrine for male members.

The official musical anthem of the Society of The Astral Star is "May It Be", by Enya as performed in the year 2001 A.D. in the film "Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring".

Click To Listen to "May It Be", which is used as Our Order's Anthem:

May it be... an evening star,
shines down upon you.
May it be... when darkness falls,
your heart will be true.
You walk a lonely road.
Oh how far you are from home.

Mornie Utulie (Darkness has come).
Believe and you will find your way.
Mornie Alantie (Darkness has fallen).
A Promise lives within you now.

May it be... the shadows call
will fly away.
May it be... your journey on,
to light the day.
When the night is overcome,
You may rise to find the sun.

Mornie Utulie (Darkness has come)
Believe and you will find your way
Mornie Alantie (Darkness has fallen)
A Promise lives within you now.

A Promise lives within you now.

An Alternative musical theme to be used in Requiems of Members of the Society of The Astral Star is "Fallen Embers", by Enya published in the year 2000 A.D.

Click To Listen to "Fallen Embers":

Once, as my heart re-members
All the stars were falling embers
Once, when night seemed for-ever.
I was with you.

Once, in the care of morn-ing
In the air was all belonging
Once when the day was dawning.
I was with you.

How far we are from morning
Ho-w far we are...
and the Stars, shining through the darkness
falling in the air.

Once, as the night was gleaming
into us our dreams were weaving
Once all dreams were worth dreaming
I was with you.

Once when the hearts were singing
I was with you.
